Local Luncheon Guests Share Afternoon Callers

Daisy Slusser Mrs Sadie Clark Mrs Glen Green and Mrs George Wurtz and her daughter Mrs Dan Chamberlin and Tommie of North Platte were Monday afternoon luncheon guests in the home of Mrs Lee Bayers. Rage Rage of Central City and Miss Norma Newton were Saturday evening guests in the Ray Werner home. Mr and Mrs E T Lindberg and daughter and Mrs Ester Lackey spent Sunday afternoon in the home of Mr and Mrs Seth Piper. Mr and Mrs Ernest Flodman were business visitors in Osceola Tuesday afternoon. Ray Werner and son Rodger spent Saturday and Sunday in the home of his mother Mrs Bertha Werner at Deshler. Mr and Mrs Harold Cramer attended the opening of the Ice Cycles at the Ak Sareen at Omaha on Thursday night. Mr and Mrs Arnold Blase entertained at a six o'clock dinner Sunday in honor of Mrs Minnie Schwarting of Empire California. Also present were Mr and Mrs Adolph Dose and Mrs Gerhart Dose and family Mr and Mrs Carl Rhode and Mr all of Hampton Donald Petzke of Fremont Miss Bertha Heiden and Dr and Mrs Walter Rochs all of York.

Swede Home Church elects new trustees at annual meeting

The Swede Home Church held its annual meeting on Monday night electing three new deacons to replace Marvin Fredrickson Herbert Flodman and Petrus Nelson Bert Gertsch was chosen for a two year term Trustees Carl Johnson and Myron Jones were also elected The pastor Alfield Franzen outlined weekly classes exams and upcoming events including a Lutheran World Action Rally at Columbus and a confirmation class next Saturday
