Letter From San Francisco Continues Reflections on Summer Life
In a continuation from page six the writer recalls barefoot summers, sandbar mishaps, and a saved moment when Archie Zindberg carried him from a sandpatch. He describes walking to the Blue for cooling moments, dust heat, scarce shade, and the distant hope of a farmer in a Model T or a grain wagon offering a ride home.
