Dinner Honors Norman Branting Before His Army Service

Dinner guests at the Marvin Branting home celebrated Norman Branting’s upcoming departure for the Armed Services. Attending were Carl Wilson of David City and Gerald Branting and family of Hastings along with Mervin Branting of York Terry Branting of Lincoln Leslie Branting and Paula of Stromsburg and Cliff ord Branting. Also present was Paula Branting who was released last Monday from Bryan Memorial Hospital after two months there weighing 5 pounds 1 ounce.

Dolan Hahn Family Visits Central City Friends

Polk locals report Mr and Mrs Dolan Hahn visiting Mr and Mrs Elmer Swanson in Central City Sunday evening to honor her father. The group included C Marvin Fredrick, Jane, and other relatives as they joined church and baptism services in York and social gatherings with the Gustafsons, Tylers, and Bradings.

Guests included Mr and Mrs Dolan Hahn for dinner Friday and Mr Leroy Nelson as Sunday guest of Mrs Martha Larson, with Mrs Wallace Sandell also visiting.

Home Society Holds Meeting at Johnson Residence

Home Society met Wednesday February 19 at Mrs Richard Johnson's home with nine members and one visitor. After business, cards were played with Mrs Ella Rudy winning high and Mrs Virgil Bush low prize. Mrs Grant Johnson earned the hostess gift. A delicious lunch followed.
