Entertained Guests Highlight Local Social Scene

Notes from a busy weekend with the Methodist Young Adults hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Strand. Several families and individuals attended including Mrs. Grant Johnson, Mrs. Floyd Miller, Mr. and Mrs. George Burke and daughter, and Mrs. Walter Nelson with Marvin. Lois Johnson of Lincoln and Donald Forss of Wahoo stayed with relatives.

Polk and Swede Plain Methodists Plan Sunday Services

Rev. R E Carlyon will attend both Polk and Swede Plain churches for morning worship at 10 and 11 o'clock with themes "Arti ta" and "The World Church." A 6:30 p.m. Young Adult rally at Central City Neb includes a covered dish luncheon and 7:30 p.m. film. Several local residents and visitors are noted for various events and gatherings.

Regular Church Services and Activities In Hardville and Milford

Regular church offerings include Hardville Baptist Church services at 10 a.m. Bible School and 11 a.m. Worship led by Pastor Paul Lemke. Milford Evangelical Free Church schedules Bible class Saturday at 2 p.m. and services Sunday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. A youth program and platform dedication are noted, with midweek events and missionary society meetings announced.

Local Hosts Welcome Dinner Guests and Visiting Relatives

Mrs Glen Green and Mrs Ruth Green were dinner guests Wednesday at the home of Mrs Ejlen McDaniel. J W McDaniel spent a week with his daughter Mrs J D Forster and twin brother W H McDaniel in Lincoln. Nellie Peterson and J E McDaniel called on Mr and Mrs Al Larson Thursday afternoon. Mrs Henry Smith of Stromburg and Mrs Hoones Greve were visitors Thursday. Homer Green and family visited Pont McCartney and family. Arnon Dover was a business visitor in Central City Wednesday afternoon.
