Glee Killion won a written knowledge and attitude exam for senior girls to be named 1968 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow for Polk High School. She earns eligibility for state and national scholarships and a silver charm from General Mills. The state winner receives a 1500 scholarship and Britannica Encyclopaedia set. runner up gets 500. Also notes on local anniversary visitors.

First Grade Reading and Math Highlights

The first grade class covers primer stories with Dick Jane and Sally, expanding to neighbor and animal friends, and Grandmother and Grandfather. Twenty five Polk High School students joined 772 students from seventeen schools at Albion for the 23rd Annual Choral Clinic held January 12 and 13. Guest conductor Dr. Douglas McEwen of the University of New Mexico led rehearsals and the Saturday 8:00 p.m. concert at Albion School Auditorium featured works by Bach Handel Hayden Quilter Butler Diemer and Steffe Ringwald.
