Educational Service Unit Signs Contracts
Nine board members at Educational Service Unit No. 7 in Genoa approved a July 1 1968 salary schedule and vacation dates. Contracts for February 1 1968 included speech therapists Arthur Coombs Barbara Thibodeaux Yvonne Baker psychologists Gaylen Dodge Tom Kotrous and instructors and staff including Jacquie Schmidt and Andrew Oberhauser. The board also extended the administrator’s contract to two years starting July 1 1968 and prepared unit services for February 1.

Home Society Hosts Annual Party at Community Hall
The Home Society held its annual party on Saturday evening February 3 at the Community Hall. Progressive pitch provided entertainment. Twenty eight members and friends attended and a lunch of sandwiches pie and coffee was served.

Board Adjusts Meeting Schedule For Educational Service Unit
The Educational Service Unit will meet every other month with extra sessions by call of board president Richard Battles. The next meeting is set for March 18 1968. Groups such as PTAs and Community Clubs can request a staff member to speak by writing or calling the Genoa office.

Irrigation Short Course In Nebraska Held In Columbus
The Extension Service teams with Butler Colfax Polk and Platte counties and University of Nebraska to offer a four session irrigation short course for irrigating farmers. Sessions run 10:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Agricultural Park in Columbus on Feb 15 22 29 and March 17 with meals and an irrigation notebook included for 8 50.
