Ray Peterson purchases the Elmer Peterson Oil Company truck and business. The Lincoln Telephone company plans a new office in Gresham. Campfire Girls sang carols Christmas morning. Local social notes mention visits and family events across Polk KKearney and Ames Iowa.
Ten years ago a reception was held in the Baptist Church parlors honoring Mr and Mrs Theo Larson on December 28 to mark their 50th wedding anniversary. Twenty college students were home for the holidays including seven from Wesleyan seven from Kearney and one each from Doane Hastings and St Marys Omaha. The December meeting of the
Home Society met at Esther Steel’s residence with 10 members and two visitors. The Wurtz family held a pre-Christmas gathering at Harold and Mrs Carlson’s home. Mrs Martha Larson returned Friday from a two month visit at Scottsbluff with Edward and Martha Larson and their daughter, and with Mrs Albin Pearson of Kimball. Mrs Pearson accompanied Mrs Larson on the way to Omaha.
