The Polk Progress will print a day early for the next two weeks with the final press run Tuesday morning instead of Wednesday. News items and advertisements must be in the Progress office by Monday noon to be included in that week’s paper.

Polk Gains Local Medical Service Two Days a Week

Three doctors from York Medical Clinic Dr. Michael A. Breiner Dr. Richard F. Brouilliette and Dr. Carrell J. Loschen lease a Polk office to provide care on Mondays and Thursdays starting January 6 1969. The office will offer comprehensive exams and X ray improving local access after since 1967.

Polk Cubs beat Silver Creek Tigercats 63 to 40 on their Maples floor Friday. Key players were Mark Wood with 15 points and Mike Lindburg with 21 as the Cubs built a 20 4 first quarter lead and extended the margin to 52 25 by the end of the third period.

Majer and Sealey Engagement Announced in Ravenna Nebraska

Mr and Mrs Frank Majer of 404 Sicily Avenue Ravenna announce the engagement of their daughter Barbara Majer to Dick Sealey son of Mr and Mrs Richard Sealey Jr of Polk Nebraska. Barbara is a Ra- pore High School graduate and a Kearney State College student affiliated with Alpha Phi. Dick is a Polk High School graduate and also attends Kearney State College.
