Mrs. Marvin Fredrickson visited Freda Newman at Annie Jeffrey Hospital on Wednesday. Chauncey Gustafson hosted guests from Denver Stromsburg and Lincoln for dinners and lunches. Various Gustafsons, Johnsons, and Burns family gatherings followed with hotel guests and bowling team dinners.
The Polk Village Board met November 2 1969 at 8 00 PM at the Polk Hotel with Trustees McNaught Dornburgh and Redman present and Jones absent. Bills were approved including tax payments and electric gas and repair costs while committees reported and the meeting adjourned.
Florence Hoffman Ruth Bills and Bertha Brazda were Saturday afternoon lunch guests of Laura Bolton. Orlie Miller and wife visited Wednesday in the Martin Hoffman Sr. home. Don Hudson and family left Thursday for a weekend with his mother in Midland South Dakota. Donald Hudson and family visited Guy Shenk Sunday afternoon. Mase Felton and family visited Donald Hudson Sunday evening. Ivan Johnson and family were Saturday evening guests in the M. R. Johnson home. Hilmer Jones hosted Friday evening guests Marlin Jones Gary Lynn and Paul Erickson and daughter from Holdrege.
