The Polk Cubs dropped a 66-50 decision to Genoa Orioles on Tuesday then beat St. Ed Beavers 82-52 at home. Mike Lindburg led scoring with 15 in the loss and 27 in the win, while the reserves stand 2-2 under coach Gary Warden. The schedule notes January 2-3 Bradshaw Holiday tournament with Benedict and Shelby to follow.
Sunday afternoon visitors in the Robert Willits home were Mr. and Mrs. Neal Van Housen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Green were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Bessie Green. Mrs. Mildred Willits attended the Christmas program at the Swede Home Lutheran Church Sunday morning and was a dinner guest in the Robert Willits home.
A 6:00 A M Christmas morning service at the Evangelical Free Church features Vibraharp instrumental numbers vocal solo and group Christmas carols for attendees.
Mrs. E. A. Carlson aka Blanche Carlson, 76, of rural Clarks, died Sunday night at a Central City hospital. Funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Central City Presbyterian Church. burial in Hordville Cemetery. Survived by husband E. A. Carlson, daughter Rogene Schoup, son Roger Carlson, five grandchildren, three sisters.
In observance of the 25th wedding anniversary a family supper was held at the Anderson home Sunday evening. Attending were Alfretta Bedient Pat Barbara and Beverly Krumbach Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bedient. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Bedient and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bedient and Shawn. and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stevens and family. Alvena Lind hosted a pre Christmas family dinner and gift exchange Monday evening. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bodine and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lind and family. and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Donelson and family of Central City.
Open House attendees expressed interest in an adult education course on the new math. Six week sessions, 90 minutes each, with a $7.50 total cost including a $2.50 textbook. Textbook purchase is by enrollees, schools provide facilities free. Contact John H. Hegwood at the High School to enroll.
First place in the home decoration contest goes to Dick Sage horn. M. G. Lindburg is second place and Ralph Kahler third, with honorable mentions including Harold Anderson Don Hanquist Vern Jones Rev. Gene Wood Kenneth Werner and Glen Babcock. Mr. Wyman R. Wilson of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service announced a January address reporting period. All aliens in the United States must report their addresses to the Government during January, with forms available at post offices and INS offices. Willful noncompliance may lead to serious consequences.
Lt Gary Stromberg of Anchorage Alaska arrived Sunday to spend the Christmas holidays with his parents Mr and Mrs Lloyd Stromberg at their home.

Wool, mohair, and lamb transactions must be completed to be eligible for payments due in Spring 1970.
