Awalter Nelson escorted Earl Cole to Lincoln for a visit. Numerous local residents and visitors marked Thanksgiving week with travels, guests, and family gatherings.
Mrs Gene Bauder was a passenger to Stromsburg Monday. Harry Schultz returned from Milwaukee where he studied for three months. Judge Kroger and family of Grand Island visited Polk relatives on Thanksgiving and attended the football game. Art Gustafson moves fixtures and tools to the old hotel to run car service from his new location. Mr and Mrs Elmer Mitchell celebrate arrival of a nine pound boy.
Homecomings and gatherings fill the week in Polk County. Clifford Wurtz returns from Grand Island college for Thanksgiving. Dr. C. R. Peterson and family move into the post office area rooms. The Osceola courthouse cornerstone ceremony draws W. P. Miller and BE Graff. Mrs. Refshauge hosts a music class ensemble and refreshments. Mr and Mrs Fred Blase honor daughter Huldah with games and music. Ed Cohagan and Nellie Harless visit Grand Island. A baby boy born to Mr and Mrs Clarence Anderson on November 30. Polk defeats Grand Island 26 to 0 in the final 1921 football game with Peterson, Sedan, Wurtz, and Alfred scoring. Hillans attend party in Hardville. County commissioners Harless, Miller, and Carter travel to Omaha for a convention.
