Central City Family Dinner Honors Donnell Springer

C J McCoy and family and Clif ford Jenkins and family joined Brad Shaw and others for a Sunday dinner at Fred Stephens home in Central City honoring Donnell Springer who is off to New York City for school. The Graves hosted relatives Monday night with music and visiting. Mrs Alfred left Sunday to be by her father's bedside.

Polk Village Board Advances Bills and Sets Salaries in 1947

Polk Nebraska village board reviews and approves bills including salaries for Wurtz and Stohs, plus a range of services. Ordinances fix employee pay, bond approvals granted, and a power lawn mower purchased for park upkeep. The July meeting approves theatre lease and sewer plans.
