Sundbergs Visit Lincoln and Friendly Guests at Cramer Home

Mr and Mrs Albert Sundberg motored to Lincoln Saturday with Doyle Sundberg returning home with them. Lois Saindon and her family of O'Neill were Friday overnight guests of Mr and Mrs Everett Cramer. Mrs Jenny Bowers of Stromsburg and Mrs Emner Larsen and family of Loveland Colorado visited Mrs Everett Cramer on Tuesday afternoon.

Yale Packs Language Courses For Public Use

Yale University through the Institute of Far Eastern Languages offers packaged language courses with printed texts and 1 to 12 hours of recorded speech. Under Gerard Kok, the program aims to raise spoken language instruction in schools and colleges, with Chinese and French available and Russian and Korean planned. Courses are used by Sarah Lawrence and Seattle Pacific colleges and may be tested in New Haven high schools.

Insects Assess Seed Corn for Germ Danger and Fumigation

Entomologists from the U S Department of Agriculture warn that seed corn suffers more from insect injury than feed corn as pests target the grain germ. Dr R T Cotton notes insects feed on the germ, stressing seed corn's high food value. Tests favor a fumigant mix of ethylene dichloride and carbon tetrachloride to protect seed corn.

Clemson experts warn on garden insecticides and moisture risks

Clemson extension specialists call rotenone the most valuable single garden insecticide.
