Wilsons Publish Grassland Book With Prairie Photos

Jim and Alice Wilson publish Grass land a 24 page work illustrated by son Steve C Wilson. It recounts grasses growth loss and return with color prairie photos many near Polk and a Platte valley image from Swedenberg hill.

Local Community Guests and Casual Weekend Visits

Local residents hosted and visited across Lincoln and area with numerous Sunday dinners picnics and family gatherings. Attendees included the Greens Hulls Mohrs Johnsons Lytles Shostroms and others from Lincoln Decorah Aurora and Osceola with trips and leaves noted for Estes Park and California.

Home Society Meets With Miss Minnie Mier

The Home Society met on Wednesday July 19 with eleven members and four guests present. Myrtle Johnson, president, led the business portion while the afternoon centered on social time and a pot luck lunch. Anna Eisler received the hostess gift. next meeting will be with Myrtle Bush in August.

Local Visitors Attend Picnic at Buckley Park Stomsburg

Mr and Mrs Robert Merchant and their daughter with Roger Clough and families visit Ord this week. Several Jones families from Hamp ton Holdrege Columbus Lincoln and Omaha join a Sunday Buckley Park picnic in Stomsburg. The Ramsey Sherman wedding was in Omaha Saturday evening. Monti Bush of Carson City arrived to stay with grandparents Ester Lackey. Ed Beckner and Lawson visit Larry Killion and family.
