Local Families Share Easter and Homecoming News

Captain and Mrs C E Penrose and sons returned home Friday from Wichita Kansas. Mrs C J McCoy joined them from Wymore Nebraska. Rev and Mrs Pearson and Mrs Olaf Alfred were visitors in Stromsburg last week for business. Miss Jean Aker of Lincoln visited Easter at the Aker home. Swede Home residents Mr and Mrs John Johnson and Stromsburg residents Mr and Mrs Harvey Sundberg and family plus Mr and Mrs Willard Adelson and Jimmy were Easter dinner guests at the Forss home. Sgt and Mrs John A Andrews of Denver arrived Friday to spend a few days with her mother Mrs C J McCoy.

Easter Social Ties Bind Arborville Families

Arborville residents hosted and visited across many Easter related events. Local couples attended dinners and social gatherings at multiple homes including the Morris, Schrader, Cramer, and Scheapler households. The Arborville Missionary Society met with 11 members, and Betty Gustafson's Easter wedding was held in Hordville with relatives from Polk and Hardville attending.

Three Year Old Elephant Star At Shrine Circus Omaha

Four baby elephants headline the Shrine Indoor Circus in City Auditorium Omaha May 9 to 14. Penny, a 3-year-old 800-pound performing elephant, is highlighted with her handler.
