Mr and Mrs Raymond Peter, Mr and Mrs Chas Westman and Mrs Julia Sundberg attended a shower for Mrs Rex Heinemeyer at the Mead Westman home near Havens Thursday evening. Josephine Johnson and Dr Roy P Johnson and family from Holdrege were guests at the Sodergren home over the weekend. Mr and Mrs H A Cramer and children accompanied to Central City by Dr D T Westfall to consult Dr Fouts. Arnold Isaacson and Warren Strand will attend a Nebraska Bankers Association meeting in Columbus at the Evans Hotel Arbor Day.

David Anderson and Dean Nelson attended a fight bout in York Thursday evening. Mr and Mrs Wallace Scott and two daughters of Stromsburg and H M McGuffin and wife were Columbus visitors Sunday. Mrs Maurice Baker, formerly Myra Glasser, died Tuesday in York hospital. She was a Polk High School first class graduate. Senior Class held a surprise party at Zolomae Willits’s home for a birthday. A linen shower for Evelyn Johnson occurred at the Nelson home Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Mannie Benson of Hordville and Mrs Minnie Olson visited Ben Peterson’s Sunday. Mr and Mrs Charles Norquest of McCool are parents of a baby boy born Tuesday, April 20. Mrs Norquest known as Mildred Wurtz of Polk. Arthur Marshall of Omaha stopped here Saturday en route to Kimball to visit his sister, Mrs Hennie Seymour. Mr and Mrs R L Smith left Sunday for New York to visit relatives.
