Birthday dinner honors Lampshire matriarch in Lincoln

Sunday guests gathered at Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lampshire home to celebrate Mrs. Lampshire's birthday. Attendees from Lincoln included J Wesley Lampshire and family Dr Earl Lampshire and family Judy Young Joe Hageman and family. Others from Marquette Hordville and Stromsburg joined in the evening and viewed color slides of South America. The Widga family celebrated wedding anniversaries and Mary Jo Widga's confirmation at the gathering. Donavin Widga visited Bryan Memorial Hospital. Democrat Women's Committee met in Stromsburg cafe Monday.

State health official laments lack of legal power to force pollution fixes
