Marion County Republican Rally Draws Wide Attendance
Mrs. G. J. Wasem hosted the Marion County Republican Rally on Friday May 19 with strong turnout from area towns. Attendees received red rose buds from Attorney Leal Reese of Taylorville. Speakers included Reese Judge Stroud Effingham Judge Tolliver Louisville and Hon R J Branson. The next event is an all day pot luck dinner at Meacham township June 16.

Conrey and Griffin Drill Test West of Patoka
Conrey and Griffin moved their rotary drilling rig to the Roy Malan 40 acre tract west of Patoka one block off acreage of about 400 acres for a test well. The test is the first drilling in the area this year and, if productive, could spur new activity in the Patoka region, inactive for months.
