No Oil Proration Decision by Illinois Investigating Committee
The legislative committee reports that restricted production in Illinois oil fields is unnecessary and undesirable. Refineries will not come to Illinois to process crude by products without assurance they can buy enough oil to run at capacity. No state tax on oil is recommended. Local authorities should tax only producing acreage.
