Mrs Ross Richards Mrs Ar thur Deeter and Mrs Merle Dawes attended a Legion Club room shower for David Richards a recent ride. Victor and Robert Sterrup and families were dinner guests Sunday of Mr and Mrs Harry Sterrup.

Mrs G G Shelmadine of Kearney visited Osceola to see her mother Mrs P C Wieseman. August Jaenicke learns he is a great grandfather as Roberta Stern Cobb in San Diego births a granddaughter eight pounds. Roberta, formerly at Osceola, is daughter of Lillian Jaenicke Stern. Carol Donelson and Ruth Frances Twarling have a son Larry Wayne born September 24 at Stromsburg hospital. Rynee of Inglewood California and Mrs Bob Armstrong of St Paul visited Osceola with Mrs Armstrong’s sister Mrs H C Hansen.
Miss Doris Wieseman of Lincoln visited her mother Mrs Viola Wieseman on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Ross Noble, returning from California, arrived in Clarks and reported Mr Noble’s critical illness in California. He went to St Francis Hospital Grand Island on Sunday for medical care.

Mrs. Mary Gerdes has just returned from a two week stay in Omaha where she attended a special insurance training school sponsored by the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States and conducted by a Home Office Instructor. The school covered fundamentals of life insurance and its uses to fit individual needs. Mrs. Gerdes is now better equipped to handle life insurance problems in her community.
Mr and Mrs M P Siegel of Central City visited town Saturday on business and called on neighbors. Mrs Perry Sapp returned Sunday from Abilene Kansas where she was called by her mother's illness. Mrs Wiseman was much improved.
