Harris Sundberg died April 16 1956 at his home on the J W Anderson farm after a life of church service farming leadership and community work. He left his wife Lillian two brothers and many relatives. Funeral services were held April 20 1956 at Salem Lutheran Church with notable singing and pallbearers.

Sheep and Wool Association Buys New Dipping Vat
The Polk County Sheep and Wool Association bought a sheep dipping vat to be kept at the Orlie Conkling farm southwest of Stromsburg. Any sheep owner in the county may rent it for dipping at a $1.00 fee, with pickup and return at Mr. Conkling’s farm. Judge Landis Buried At Seward Friday
Death came to District Judge Harry D. Landis in Seward Monday evening, April 23, after an illness of several weeks. Services were held at the Seward Presbyterian Church Friday for the 77 year old lawyer. Landis was admitted to Nebraska Bar in 1901 and elected judge of the Fifth Judicial District in 1925, serving until his death. He presided over District Court in Osceola many times since 1925.
