A Lincoln social security representative will visit Osceola on April 3, in the courthouse from 9 to 11 30 a.m. Beneficiaries under 72 for any full month in 1966 who earned over 1500 in 1966 must file an earnings report with the social security administration by April 15 or risk loss of additional benefits.

Rex Martin Newcomer born March 31 1905 on his grandfather’s farm east of Stromsburg Polk County. He grew up in Greens Chapel and Osceola area attending Vic tor school and Osceola High School class of 1925. He pursued a career in industry working for Hazel Atlas Glass Co in several cities including Wheeling Zanesville Ada and Oakland California.
