Recreation Assn meeting set for Friday

All-State honorees shine for Osceola and Clarks teams

Two Goldenrod conference boys earn state basketball spots by the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal. Alan Gissler of Osceola Class C and Matt Shensey of Clarks Class D led by example with high scoring, strong defense, and sportsmanship. Gissler averaged 26.2 points and 65 percent shooting, plus 17 rebounds. Shensey surpassed 20 points per game, aided by a football injury comeback.
