Miss LaVonne Dinges daughter of Mrs Rose Dinges Osceola and Nicholas Mancine son of Mr and Mrs Salvatore Mancine Summerville Mass married Wednesday March 16 in a 930 mass at Blessed Sacrament Church Wichita Kansas. The bride wore a navy suit with white blue accessories and carried white carnations. The groom in a business suit attended by Mr and Mrs Peter Mazarella. A wedding breakfast was served at La Charles in Wichita. The couple will reside at 1428 South Waco Street.

Gas Company To Refund 1 3 Million In Nebraska and South Dakota
Central Electric & Gas Company will issue about 1 3 million in refund credits to customers in 33 Nebraska and South Dakota towns. Osceola customers receive about 3 316 29. Refunds stem from Federal Power Commission and appeals court orders on Northern Natural Gas overcharges before Dec 27 1953. Other towns include Columbus 39 589 Stromsburg 4 192 Shelby 2 065 Rising City 1 225 David City 9 698 Ulysses 1 154. The refunds are not tied to gas bought after Dec 27 1954 from Northern Natural Gas. If Northern Natural Gas misses its requested rates, further refunds may follow. This is the second refund, first issued April 1954.

Methodists Award Contract for New Church Building

At the March 18 meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary the local Wm. Wolfe Post Chapter earned a National Citation for Meritorious Service from the National President. Hostesses were Mrs. P. B. Campbell Mrs. Ross Richards and Mrs. August Senn. Flossie Deeds won the door prize. Plans announced include a Leonard Wood Memorial Fund donation and the annual Child Welfare Tea set for April 15 at 2 30 p m admission 35 cents. Poppy Day observance planned for May 7 with two ladies from each group selling poppies. The chapter finished its sewing project donating two more comforters and carpet rags.
