In Polk County Nebraska a petition to appoint Elmer Allinder as Administrator of the Jennie Johnson estate has been filed. Hearing is set for March 3 1950 at 10 o'clock A M. Dated February 6 1950. L M Merrick
Polk County Nebraska notices creditors of John Grossnicklaus deceased. A county court hearing on June 5 1950 will hear adjust and allow all filed claims. Claims must be filed by June 3 1950 or be barred. Eva Kresha appointed executrix with hearing March 3 1950 at 2 PM.
A petition has been filed for probate of the last will and testament of Adolf F. Kresha, deceased, initiating the legal process to validate the person’s testamentary documents. Court attention may follow to establish the executor and distribute estate assets.

Osceola captured the Polk County Basketball Trophy for the second straight year at the Polk County Tournament in Osceola on February 8 9. The Osceola second team beat Polk 34 30 and Stromsburg 35 32 to seize the trophy while Polk defeated Shelby 46 45 and Stromsburg 26 36.
First team trophy went to Polk captain Lavelle and second team trophy to Osceola captain Ronnie Koehler. The Class C District Basketball Tournament comes to Osceola March 1 2 3 with Clarks Dwight Assumption Genoa Shelby Stromsburg Osceola and Polk. Osceola and Polk schedules and local activities are noted along with community events and school club updates.
Mrs James Alt of Shelby and Kenneth Richards hosted a quilting club gathering honoring Ms Dawes whose birthday falls February 14. Members sewed quilt blocks and enjoyed lunch. The next meeting is set for March 9 at 2 p.m. at Mrs Harold Gondringer’s home.
