The first boxing exhibition under the Orange County Athletic Club drew about 800 spectators at Columbia Park. Promoters praised the clean show with no frames and orderly conduct. Judgment Against Eckerson Reversed Over Ursuline Diploma Case
The Appellate Division of the Second Department reverses a Rockland County case against Eckerson who excavated clay near a highway after the 1906 landslide. The court found no present danger to the street and faulted the trial for improper law and lack of evidence of intent, dismissing the indictment.
