A Newburgh meeting of the New York State Fifers and Drummers Association executive committee outlined the July 14 15 Poughkeepsie convention with plans for a large loving cup prize the cup to be held by a corps for three years and more than 500 prize offerings. The event will feature contests in modern and ancient time with numerous corps from New York and nearby states attending. The organizing expense is about 1900 dollars and a parade will head by the 24th Separate Band.
