Fourth Norwalk fatality in five days tied to tractor trailer crash
A tractor trailer slammed into a sedan on Ohio 18 near Hartland Center Road, killing 83 year old Andrew O Lorther of Medusa Road Rt 1. The truck driver Percy White 44 of Fort Wayne Indiana swerved to avoid the crash but the trailer overturned. No citation issued. This marked the fourth Norwalk area fatality in five days and the sixth in Huron County since January 1.

Break-In Report At Jo & Eds Store On Whittlesey Ave
Night break in at Jo and Eds store 155 Whittlesey Ave. A newspaper courier reported all clear at 3 30 a m. The break in was found by a Norwalk officer after 4 a m. A child sized gold bicycle and four stereo tapes were recovered and turned over to Norwalk police. The bike was found on West Washington Street and the tapes near Friendly Corners tavern. Police hold the items.

Picklesimer Held on Drug Charges in Huron County
Ollie Picklesimer aged 19 of Willard is held in Huron County Jail on three drug charges involving heroin and mellarrel. He was arrested after a secret Grand Jury indictment dated Oct 6. The charges include possessing mellarrel for sale at wholesale without registration as a wholesale distributor of dangerous drugs, possessing heroin for sale, and selling heroin.
