Accidents injure two in city Friday incidents
Two people were hurt in three accidents Friday afternoon and evening. Clarence Lee Rice, 32, of 221/2 Cedar St, was cited for reckless operation after losing control on West Elm Street and striking a Northern Ohio Telephone Co pole. He suffered facial lacerations. Harry Parke, 78, of 157 Woodlawn Ave, reported left shoulder pain after a collision near Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital with a bricks-laden truck driven by Richard Wayne Greer of St Clair Shores Michigan. Greer was cited for driving left of center. A third crash involved Marion Winifred New, 36, of 86 S Linwood, rear-ended by Willis James Polk, who was cited for failing to stop within a safe distance. The hospital entry sign and lawn were damaged and vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Five area accidents reported near Bellevue this morning
Five accidents were logged in the Bellevue region Friday and this morning. Lancan Holbrook, 23, lost control on U S 20 east of Bellevue, struck a sign and fence, then crossed the median. Richard Funk, 45, Bellevue, overturned on a gravel truck on Ridge Road. A deer struck a semitrailer on State 60 near Wakeman. Investigators seek a red or white car thought to have sheared a telephone pole on U S 20 west of Wakeman.
