Mother-Daughter Banquet Planned at Church
The Men's Chapter of the First United Presbyterian Church hosts a mother daughter banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Episcopal Parish House. All women of the church are invited. Men will prepare and serve the meal. Reservations are in the church office.

Townsend 4-H Groups Plan Regular Meetings and Memorial Day Graves
The Townsend Crops and Firestockers voted to meet every other Monday night and to decorate soldiers graves at Collins Cemetery on Memorial Day. Project books were given to members. The Busy Needles, led by President Becky Linder at advisor Mrs Earline Linder’s home, started with eight members and enrollment cards collected. Summer dates and locations were arranged.

Nurse author from Norwalk to publish recovery room handbook
Mrs. Lucille Betschman of Norwalk writes and will publish A Handbook of Recovery Room Nursing with F A Davis Co next fall. The book grew from a personal notebook for recovery room cases and expanded as nursing students used it as a reference.
