Wakeman man and son cleared in truck fall case
A Huron County jury found a rural Wakeman man and his son not liable for injuries suffered by John Reep when he fell from the back of a truck in 1963. The Reeps had sought damages, but the defense argued the incident occurred on private property and that Reep was not an employee. The eight jurors ruled in favor of the Krebses, with arguments centered on ownership, status as guest, and Reep's own actions.
