A bicycle owned by Jason D. Ellis on St. Marys Street was stolen in front of the Norwalk City Pool at 7 30 p m. Shelly Bees on State Street reported her bicycle valued at 73 dollars stolen near St. Pauls gymnasium around 8 30 p m.
In New Haven the New Haven Elementary School reported 23 broken windows at 3 25 am as deputies opened an investigation. The vandalism adds to a string of incidents in Huron County including past breakage at Western Reserve school.
Gloria Isaac of Willard files civil suit in Huron County Common Pleas on behalf of her 13 year old daughter Tonya. The claim says Tonya suffered head injuries July 7 1978 when she fell and hit her head on a car owned by Darrell Duncan. The car was parked at 30 Hayes Street in Willard and Isaac had rented the space. Isaac alleges Duncan parked the car beside the house despite requests to move it. Duncan and Gordon Duncan named as defendants.
Firestone Tire recalls about 2,500 tires including 1,400 Trax 12 passenger tires P215-75R15 and 1,100 Longhauler and 100 Triumph truck tires. Serial numbers point to possible drum misassembly causing tread or sidewall separation. Also listed are specific serial ranges for each recalled tire.
