Plymouth honors Wilcox founder of Rawhiders Saddle Club
Al Wilcox of Steuben, founder of the Rawhiders Saddle Club, was honored at a Plymouth High School This Is Your Life program attended by over 250 members. The event followed a picnic dinner. Wilcox started the first 4 H saddle club in Huron County, the Rawhiders, in 1957 and has taught horsemanship to more than 200 youths in 15 years.

Baking Contest Set for July 13 at Western Reserve High
The Huron County baking contest segment of the 1971 All-Ohio Electric Bake A Rama Pie and Cake Baking Contest will be held July 13 at Western Reserve High School in Collins. Entries will be received 10 a.m. to noon. Winners receive 50 dollars and a ribbon and travel money to the Ohio State Fair. Up to 1000 dollars in cash prizes possible at state fair.
