Mitchell Goes To Court Over Leak Of Viet Reports

UPI reports Secretary Rogers condemns New York Times publication of secret Vietnam documents as serious. Attorney General Mitchell says the Justice Department will seek a temporary restraining order to block further Times excerpts from the 40 volume Defense study and a 47 volume history of U.S. Vietnam decision making. The filing cites irreparable injury to national defense and seeks court action in New York.

Norwalk Ward Meetings Seek Citizen Views On Government

The Norwalk City Charter Commission holds the second ward meeting at 7 30 p m at Norwalk Junior High School to hear residents views on local government. The third ward meeting is scheduled for 7 30 p m Thursday and the final for 7 30 p m next Tuesday at St Marys Hall.

State Board rejects Norwalk district move on 146 acres

The State Board of Education ruled the 146 acre site near Ohio 18 should stay in the Western Reserve Local School District, denying Norwalk City Schools’ request to transfer the land. The decision preserves tax revenue of about 8,230 dollars annually for Western Reserve and aligns with plans for industrial development and future housing growth in the area.

New Swimsuits and Jeans Mark Opening of Norwalk Pool

Firelands Campus to Build Tech Education Building

The Ohio Controlling Board released 2.4 million for a Firelands Branch at Bowling Green State University. Bids opened May 28. Mosser Construction of Fremont was the apparent low bidder for the general contract at 1.154 million and has previously built the existing Firelands Campus structures.
