Gas utility wins right to add customers in Ohio
Columbia Gas of Ohio is authorized by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to add new customers, ending a 1972 ban. The Norwalk area office will serve Norwalk, Willard, Monroeville, New London, Milan and Attica, with 575 residences and businesses on a waiting list. The decision allows new residential, commercial and some industrial connections, and permits recovery of SNG costs within rate schedules, subject to approval. New customers must meet insulation standards, and Columbia must report load impacts quarterly and semi-annually.
