Age And Time May Be Catching Up To Shavers
Earnie Shavers, 33, world ranked heavyweight, faces Harry Terrell, 23, in Virginia Beach as his trainer Frank Luca weighs the chance of another title shot against the looming end of his career. Shavers seeks a win to bolster a possible return, but a loss could end his run after losses to Ali and Holmes. Terrell, 6 foot plus and around 200 pounds, is a strong puncher with a second round KO over Horace Kessler, and the boxing world sees two current champions Holmes and Spinks complicating future title picks. Luca warns aging may curb Shavers even if he prevails.
