Police said 71 year old Helda Kalander was wounded in the chest and robbed of $9 collected during a Mother's March for the March of Dimes. She was listed in fair condition at Euclid General Hospital after the Sunday afternoon attack near her East Side home.

Insurance warning over mailers to seniors in Seneca County
Senior Citizens Services, a Norwalk based firm with PO box 798, is sending insurance mailers to elderly residents in Seneca County. Mrs. Marjorie Harper, director of Services for Aging in Huron County, warns there is no government connection and she does not know if any Huron County seniors have received the ads.

Bumper Beat Greenwich Woman in Serious Condition
A Greenwich woman, Ruth Grimes, 56, remained in serious condition at Lorain Community Hospital after her car slid into a semi on U.S. 224 Sunday evening. The driver, Donald G. McCommons, 39, Esterville, Iowa, was not injured. Police reported Grimes sustained multiple fractures and possible head injury and was moved from Fisher-Titus to Lorain hospital.

Norwalk Man Arrested On Three Year Old Warrant
Norwalk police arrested Roger Hamilton, 26, of 35 Gallup Ave., on a three year old Huron County Common Pleas Court felonious assault warrant at 11:56 p.m. in Lawson's Parking Lot. Indicted May 28, 1975 for beating two men on May 26 over vehicle disputes. involved a steel object. Hamilton held awaiting arraignment in Huron County Jail car stolen from Spring Street. The 1966 car, owned by Verna Hohler, was recovered by Hazelton State Police.
