Gunman Goes Berserk in San Francisco Standoff

In a quiet neighborhood near Golden Gate Park, 76 year old Thomas E. Hufnagel opened fire after a parking dispute, killing one and wounding three from a second story perch. After six hours police fired tear gas and entered the apartment, where Hufnagel, armed with a pistol and shotgun, killed himself.

Burglars Hit Western Reserve High Again

Deputies investigated a break in at Western Reserve High School after 4:30 a.m. Friday. Doors, windows damaged, money and a hand calculator stolen. Investigators matched a Converse shoe print. 2-3 suspects, work and tennis shoes involved. This follows a Dec 15 arson at the main office. two teens faced charges in that incident.
