Top Twirler Hopes She's In Condition
Judy Kassouf Ohio State University coed and the nation’s No 1 baton twirler will not perform with the OSU band in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Band director Charles Spohn cites Rose Bowl schedule as the reason. Kassouf accepts marching with the Toppers despite earlier hopes from Gov Rhodes and alumni groups. She hopes to complete the seven mile route and relies on crowd excitement to boost performance.

Forest W. Fry Sr. Dies at 53 in Norwalk Home
Forest W. Fry Sr., 53, of 30 Walnut St., died at his residence at 3 45 a.m. He was born September 7, 1915 in Ashland County and had lived in Norwalk seven years. A machine operator at Precision Plastics and Olena Presbyterian Church member, he is survived by wife Mildred Ernest, four sons Forest Jr. Amherst, Richard Wakeman, Dale and Kyle at home, a daughter Darlene, four grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Harry Miller of Trenton Michigan, a sister Missus William Chamberlin of Ashland, and a brother Willard of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his father James in 1956. Friends may call 7 9 p m Saturday and 2 4 and 7 9 p m Sunday at Heaston Hile Funeral Home with services Monday at 2 p m Rev PJ Garcia officiating. Burial Fitchville Cemetery.

Sherman Kissel 85 Greenwich Resident Dies at Ashland Home
Sherman Kissel of Greenwich died Thursday at Good Shepherd Home in Ashland at age 85 after nine months in residence. He farmed and built as a carpenter in Richland County and was retired. Surviving are three daughters Doroty Price Viola Hudnut Viva Lepp two sons Elmer Virgil eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
