Parochial riders boost Norwalk school bus load
Norwalk schools will carry 25 percent more passengers this year as parochial students living more than a mile from a school receive bus service within city limits for the first time. Building supervisor Robert Kramer noted 215 parochial students already added to the route list and two new buses may be needed. Routes to be set by Aug. 15 with central neighborhood pickup under consideration. State transportation funds, though, may rise less than the load, affecting budgeting.
