Aging conference highlights Ohio trends and local talks
Delegates Lucille Betschman and Caroline Ford attended the 1975 Governor's Conference on Aging in Columbus with Dr. Arthur Fleming of HEW. Topics included transportation nursing homes and utilities costs. Projections show Ohio seniors 60 and over to rise 30 percent by 1990 and those 85 plus by 38 percent.

Marysville to house Ledford on probation violation
Debra Lynn Blackett Ledford, 19, of North Fairfield and Norwalk, was found in violation of probation and ordered to begin a one to five year sentence at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. The judge noted prior bad check charges, pregnancy, and probation conditions including employment, restitution, and mental health help.

Bumper crash on Benedict Avenue left New London couple Newberry Hamilton 47 and Bernita Marr 59 with minor injuries plus passenger Robert Baker ? all declining further treatment. A third incident on Yingling Road four miles east of Bellevue caused heavy car damage. passenger Arthur F. Fuqua 26 of Huron received hospital care.
