Festival costs soar for Norwalk event despite hopes
Norwalk Festival expenses run about 7000 dollars double the initial 3000 dollar estimate due to power and school rental charges. Public relations director Tom Woodyard says a fund drive may be needed though income from booth rentals admissions and donations is expected to cover costs. Some shows will charge admission including the queen pageant with tickets at 1 dollar adults 50 cents children. The festival aims to rely on sponsor donations and free attractions like a sky diving display and world record eating contests to balance the budget.
