The Brute Council 1860 Knights of Columbus Emmitsburg opened its October meeting with Grand Knight Stanley McIntyre presiding. Plans include Mary land State Deputy Zeunges and wife attending the Oct 9 Knight of the Year Banquet at Chestnut Logs Rouzerville Pa. Youth Activities chair Thomas Topper says 52 boys took part in the Ford Punt Pass and Kick event, with first place going to zone competition this Saturday.

The New Life Treatment Center at RFD 6 Chambersburg will dedicate its facility on Sunday October 24 at 2 p.m. Local and state dignitaries will attend the ceremony followed by a public open house and tour led by administrator Paul W.
