Richard Robert Ryan, 21, of Braddock Heights, pleaded guilty to maintaining a common nuisance and selling amphetamines and LSD after admitting about 75 dollars worth of LSD to a state police undercover agent. He was held without bond for sentencing and is expected to receive a pre sentence report in six weeks.

Three Sentenced Fourth Pleads Insanity In Circuit Court
Three men were sentenced to prison terms of three and four years while a fourth man pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to murder charges in a Frederick County Circuit Court session. Gilbert Rose Betson, 22, pleaded not guilty to the Sept. 12 murder of his two month old son Bruce Robertshaw Betson. he was ordered held and sent to the state mental health department for sanity evaluation before returning for disposition. Clark Heffner, 53, of Lewistown, was sentenced to three years for assault with a rifle on a C&P Telephone Co lineman with a recommendation a psychological review be conducted. Larry Wayne Lidie, 23, received four years for strong-arm robbery, plus sentences for assault on a trooper, resisting arrest, destruction of property, and disorderly conduct, all to run concurrently.

Secondary education majors teach subjects matching their majors while early childhood education majors split time between kindergarten and first three grades. In Frederick County, six student teachers are women assigned to Gov. Thomas Johnson High School.
