Outer Beltway Proposed To Revise Frederick County Highway Plan
County Planner Wirgan and Zoning Inspector Guyton propose a revised outer Beltway for Frederick City as part of the Master Highway Plan. The route would jog from New U.S. 1 and Route 340 south of Feagaville north to I-70, then extend northeast around Frederick toward Shookstown and Yellow Springs, with interim four lane and two lane sections and multiple interchanges. State legislators and delegates discussed potential impacts for US 15 and US 340 40 corridors and sought endorsements from local agencies.
