Madison officials faced a looming court hearing over a controversial dress code. Board president Dr Edsell Peck argued for the rule while about 30 residents protested at a prior meeting. Supt Clyde Roush said attorney discussions were set but no time for a hearing was arranged. Peck called the case hopeless and ended the discussion.
