Grudge Suspect Held In Death Of 2 Turks
Gourgen N. Yanikian, 77, is held for investigation of the killings of Turkish consul Mehmet Baydar and deputy Bahadir Demir in Santa Barbara. He allegedly invited them to a hotel, claimed a painting was available, then shot them at lunch. Authorities say he dialed a hotel switchboard after the act. The State Department and FBI joined the probe.
