A Scioto County brother and sister died in a Tuesday traffic accident on U S 73 about eight miles west of Portsmouth. Harlan Lee Boyd 17 of Otway and his sister Mrs Mathy Boyd Parker died after Boyd's car clipped another vehicle and plunged into a dry creek bed. Parker was killed instantly and Boyd died at Mercy Hospital about two hours later.
Mrs. Betty Darling, 33, fired a .22 caliber pistol at a rabbit raiding her garden in Fort Pierce Florida. The shot wounded her arm and her car veered into a ditch causing a cut lip and bruised forehead on the way to the hospital.
