President Signs Antipoverty Bill After Senate Victory

The Senate sent a $947.5 million antipoverty bill to President Johnson to create jobs for idle youth and assist low income families. Enactment would rely on supplemental appropriations. Copter Crash Injures Four Near Blackstone Virginia

An Army helicopter crashed in a hay field near Blackstone Virginia on Monday night injuring four crewmen. Engine trouble at 400 feet in dense fog caused the crash. Spc. 4c William Hendricks 22 of New Castle Pennsylvania was critically hurt and taken to Fort Lee Virginia Hospital. The other crew members were Captain Richard Allen Thompson 32 of Fort Knox Kentucky Pfe Steven R. Yannone 21 of Canton Ohio and Sgt le Robert A Willard F. Meade Massachusetts with non serious injuries.

Tractor and Bus Crash claims life on foggy Turnpike

A bus and a tractor-trailer collided on the fog shrouded Pennsylvania Turnpike killing Helen West 48 who died on arrival at Carlisle Hospital.
