Tri City Art Show Judges Named for Springboro Event
Robert Kell of Dayton and Charlies Kell of Monroe will judge the third annual Tri City Art Show by the Miami Valley Arts Guild, April 15 and 16 at Springboro High School gym. Over 100 high school students from Carlisle Franklin and Springboro compete across 15 categories for ribbons and a best of show trophy. Public hours 10 am to 5 pm day one and noon to 6 pm day two. Carlisle Franklin Springboro demonstrations span metalwork pencil sketching litho prints loom weaving charcoal sculpture plaster clay pottery linoleum printmaking watercolors ink drawing stained glass cartooning. Welcome Wagon Club installs first officers in Springboro
After 18 months of organizing the Springboro Welcome Wagon Club has installed its first slate of officers. Mrs Veeda Whitt is president with Susan Tayior Camille Ledour Ruth Healey Jo Whitney Barb Brown and Kathie Taylor as officers. New residents are urged to call for information about the club and special interest groups include arts and crafts dining out racquetball cards tennis and golf. The club donates equipment to the Clearcreek Township Life Squad and Barbara Yauger is honored for organizing efforts.
